OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2011. TNK-BP announces the 2011 results for its regional councils and conflict commissions for liaison with suppliers and contractors.

Since they were set up in December 2010, the regional councils have met 15 times and the conflict commissions 80 times. The conflict commissions have reviewed 70 appeals, finding in favour of the claimants in 30 cases. Following a review of the complaints received, recommendations have been drawn up for company subdivisions and used as a basis for taking optimal management decisions. The initiatives taken on board include involving independent experts in review of complex technical issues and disputes, standardization and unification of contracts, and a number of measures to make tender procedures more transparent.

“One of the main objectives in contractor and supplier liaison is to get feedback from market players – what they think about the transparency and competitiveness of our procurement procedures and what weaknesses they see. We receive critical comments form our partners, analyze them thoroughly and, if necessary, change our processes to become more efficient and move ahead dynamically”, said Andrey Kozlov, Vice President, Regional Policy.
