OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2011. The Jiuhua Mountain Airport, which is near completion and will go into operation later next year, has been taken over by Anhui Civil Aviation Airport Group Co., according to a framework agreement signed Wednesday by the company and the municipal government of Chizhou.

With a total investment of 609 million yuan, the Jiuhua Mountain Airport is situated in Meilong township, Chizhou city of Anhui province, 20 kilometers away from the renowned Buddhist mountain.

The airport will be available to Boeing 737s, Airbus 320s and other similar planes upon completion.

According to the agreement, Anhui Civil Aviation Airport Group Co., the state-owned airport company in charge of Hefei Luogang Airport and Huangshan Tunxi Airport, will run the Jiuhua Mountain Airport as well.
