OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2011. The JSC Techansbexport (TENEX) has confirmed compliance of the Company’s existing management system with the requirements of the International Standard for environmental management ISO:14001:2009 and received the auditors’ statement on compliance with the International Standard for quality management ISO 9001:2008.

In the period from December 5 through 8, 2011 TENEX has successfully completed recertification audit of the quality management system and the second observation audit of environmental management system based on the requirements of International Standards ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2009. The audit was performed by Intercertification TUV jointly with RUV Thuringen, a subsidiary of the Authority for certification of management systems TUV Thuringen (Germany).

As for the environmental management, the audit team confirmed that the system used by TENEX is in full compliance with the requirements of the International Standard ISO 14001:2009 within the framework of an observation (inspection) audit by the certification authority.

TENEX received a positive evaluation from the auditors as regards the quality management system compliance with the International Standard for quality management ISO 9001:2008 that pursuant to the established procedure will be submitted to the head office of the Authority for certification of management systems TUV Thuringen e.V. in Germany. TENEX expects that by the end of 2011 it will receive from the certification Authority the confirmation of compliance with the quality standard ISO 9001:2008. The new certificate to enter in force from January 1, 2012 is valid for three years subject to passing the annual procedure of observation (inspection) audit. The certificate of compliance with ISO 9001:2008 was awarded to TENEX for the first time in 2009.

TENEX regularly undergoes certification audits in compliance with the existing Company’s policy of commitment to the principles of quality management, safety during transportation of nuclear materials and minimizing the risks of environmental impacts.

Currently TENEX is developing and preparing for certification in 2012 a system for safety management of supply chain in compliance with the International Standard ISO 28000, implementing new approaches to ensure efficient control and management of risks related to safety threats at all stages of lifecycle of organizing export deliveries of uranium products and services for Russian nuclear industry.
