OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2011. At the end of November the German delegation paid a regular visit to Siberian chemical plant, OJSC (a part of TVEL, Fuel Company of Rosatom) concerning nuclear materials protection. The delegation included representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany (financial donor), Reactors and Nuclear Installations Safety Associations and technical adviser of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany from the Federal department of military equipment purchase and the representative. The delegation was headed by Thomas Goebel, the head of a department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany.

The technical delivery and acceptance of two large objects, the total value of which is more than 12 million EUR, was carried out during the visit. These funds were used to update the security system of Reactor plant no. 5 and to set up high security car checkpoints at Isotope separation plant. The Capital construction management, Material and Integration management of Siberian chemical plant OJSC and Seversk construction organizations – STKhM OJSC, MSU-74 CJSC, SMNU-70 CJSC played an important part in the work execution.

In March 2012 construction and installation works shall be executed at another joint project of the combine and German enterprises, that is the update of the security system at internal parts of one of the plants of Siberian chemical plant. All these viable projects became a good present to the partners to mark the 10-year anniversary of cooperation between Siberian chemical plant OJSC and Germany in the sphere of nuclear materials protection.
