OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2011. On the 8th of December Mashinostroitelny Zavod, JSC (a part of the Fuel company of Rosatom TVEL) received a delegation of top executive managers of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission that are currently undergoing training at the Central Institute for Continuing Education and Training (CIPK) in Obninsk City. There were specialists among the delegation members with a degree in the sphere of nuclear technologies got in leading education and research centers of Japan and South Korea.

On the 2nd of November, 2011 Russia and Bangladesh signed an intergovernmental agreement to build a nuclear power plant in Rooppur, north-west Bangladesh. In September the Director General of Rosatom, State Corporation Sergei Kiriyenko announced the setting up of the International Staff Training Centre on the basis of CIPK. In accordance with the practical agreement IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) gets the heads of national nuclear programmes from the countries that act as recipients of Russian nuclear technologies into a short-term education programme in Russia.

At the meeting that was held in a constructive business atmosphere, the Production director Nikolay Antonov submitted a report on the plant history, sales geography and the enterprise technological capabilities. Among the topics that the foreign specialist were most interested in, there were questions about the way of products manufacturing quality control for every single customer. Deputy Quality Director General Alexandr Kuznetsov made a report on the principles of the buyer’s monitoring of the fuel manufacturing quality and answered the quests’ questions.

 “Our goal is to prove the high technological level of the enterprise and to demonstrate the way the plant tackles the questions of the production quality assurance, because the main goal of the modern stage of nuclear energy development is to provide security”, - underlined Nikolay Antonov.

The second part of the visit took part at the enterprise production departments – production of fuel pellets, filling of fuel elements and installation of fuel assemblies. During the visit to Mashinostroitelny Zavod the members of the delegation were impressed by the production scale and the quality system of the enterprise.
