OREANDA-NEWS. January 5, 2012. On December 29, 2011 "Air Moldova", a national airline of Moldova, was awarded with a Diploma of the Inter-governmental Aviation Committee (IAC) “For achievement in aviation security field”.

Award will be presented by the Board - the authorized representatives of States – Parties of this “Agreement on Civil Aviation and the Use of Air Space" to be held at the end of February 2012

The Inter-governmental Aviation Committee (IAC) was created basing on the intergovernmental "Agreement on Civil Aviation and the Use of Airspace", signed on 30.12.1991. According to this agreement IAC is defined as the Executive Body for 12 States of the former USSR that delegates functions and powers in the field of civil aviation and airspace use.

Parties to this Agreement are: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyztan, Republic of Moldova, Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Ukrain.
