OREANDA-NEWS. January 06, 2012. In 2011, despite the the world economic crisis consequences, the Ukrainian economy has shown growth. This was announced by the Government Agent for cooperation with the Russian Federation, the CIS member countries, the Eurasian Economic Cooperation and other regional groupings Valeriy Muntian on the air of the Radio Era, on January 5.

"The basic integral indicator - gross domestic product - amounted to 5%. This achieved at the expense of industry growth by 7.8%, due to growth in agrarian and industrial complex by 15.6%. For the first time since independence in Ukraine, there have collected 58 million tons of grain," Valeriy Muntian noted.

According to him, in Ukraine, there took place the real growth of wages at 8.7%. "It is the largest index among the CIS countries," the Government Agent added.

Valeriy Muntian also noted that in 2011 inflation in Ukraine slowed down to 4.7% compared with the previous year (in 2010 it amounted to 9.2%).
