OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2012. In 2011, Latvian national airline airBaltic has improved its 15-minute punctuality to 88.6% for flights linking North Hub Riga with destinations in Europe, Middle East and Russia/CIS. airBaltic has thus achieved punctuality improvement of 5.2 percentage points, compared to 2010, when the indicator stood at 83.4%

Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic: “airBaltic offers convenient connections to and from 60 destinations in Europe, Middle East, Russia and CIS. It is important to continue improving our punctuality to better serve both our transfer passengers via North Hub Riga, and customers travelling point-to-point. We are delighted to achieve this result and have almost 9 aircraft out of 10 depart on time.”

airBaltic was the first airline in Europe to introduce on-time arrival guarantee in early 2009. This insurance allows airBaltic passengers to make the rare delays less inconvenient.

airBaltic serves 60 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia. From every one of these, airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.
