OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2012. In the next two years Internet provider Ailə NET (part of Ailə TV) is to provide all the districts of Baku with broadband optical Internet.

According to Ailə TV, for the first time in the South Caucasus region work on provision of apartments with broadband optical Internet has been launched in Baku. Ailə NET undertook responsibility for realization of a project of such scale.

"The network of optical Internet will allow people using services of more quality, fast and profitable Internet. The volume of information transmitted over the network is much higher than in other networks. In other networks the amount of information transmitted is measured in megabytes and in fiber-optic network in terabytes," the Company says.

Starting since 2010 Ailə NET has laid optical Internet in test regime in 100 houses Nizami and Khatai districts. Tests turned out successful, and currently there is great demand for network expansion.

Cable operator Ailə TV carries out cable transmission through fiber-optic network. The existing network of the cable operator allows installing a network of broadband Internet in a short time and efficiently.

"From the first days of January the Ailə NET installation teams started installing broadband networks in micro-districts of Baku. Broadband Internet network which includes zone of access of cable operator Ailə TV will be installed in the districts of Baku until the end of 2012. Before the end of 2013 all the Baku districts will be provided with broadband optical Internet," the Company reported.

The subscribers will be able to enjoy simultaneously the services of cable television Ailə TV and Internet provider Ailə NET. By using these services in parallel they can pay them on more favorable terms.

"Ailə NET’s activity does not finish by that. A special media website for its subscribers is under creation. By using this site, the subscriber can watch and download movies of world cinema. Besides, he can also download a variety of computer games and music. In addition, the online subscriber can watch online channels at http://ailenet.az, spreading through the Ailə TV network,” the Company said.
