OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2012. Cargo throughput of the port Temryuk in 2011 grew by 20% year-on-year, to 2.34 million tons, the Port Authority said.

Handling of outbound cargo rose by 29.59% to 2.12 mln tons, while the volume of inbound goods slumped by 43.2% from last year’s figure to 242,000 tons. Shipments of coastal traffic cargo increased by 16 1% to 88.22 tons.

In the reporting period, Temryuk handled 799 vessels, a 10.51-percent growth from a year earlier.

Port of Temryuk is located on the Taman seashore of the Azov Sea. The berths of total length of 1,200 rm are equipped for handling general cargoes, round timber, lumber, metals, oversized cargo and food products .  In 2010, throughput of the port of Temryuk declined by 7.4% year-over-year to 1.95 million tons.
