OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2012. ARMADA OAO (MICEX, RTS: ARMD) hereby announces that electronic government solution has been implemented in the Komi Republic.

The project to develop and implement e-government services was carried out within the framework of the state-run program “Information Society 2011-2020,” and the solution for the Komi Republic was developed using open source software and “Software as a Service” (SaaS) architecture.

In the course of the project’s implementation, ARMADA automated nearly 30 state and municipal services, including several most socially important and popular ones: subsidizing utility payments, enrolling children in nursery schools, providing labor market statistics, monthly entitlements for orphaned children and transportation subsidies, searching in library catalogs, getting licenses for medical and pharmaceutical activities, etc.

“Implementing e-government services using ARMADA’s solutions paves the way for setting up a true “service-focused government,” where an official is not limited to carrying out his or her clear-cut functions, but has an opportunity to react to citizen requests and to resolve any issue related with state or municipal services promptly and efficiently,” Komi Republic head’s aid Alexander Selyutin said.
