OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2012. On December 24 we have launched a new "Lenta" chain hypermarket in Tver.

This hypermarket with the total area of 12 000 sq.m. is located in Moskovsky district at the address: Moscow highway, 3. There is a convenient parking for customers, with capacity of 600 cars. 36 modern cash terminals will serve customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, the store has a number of differences compared to hypermarkets located in Saint-Petersburg: trade hall illumination has been improved, modern equipment for bakery purchased, specialized decorative cosmetics department and our own "In Lenta en famille" cafe opened.

According to Anna Ostozhjeva, director of Tver hypermarket, "Lenta" will be attractive to local residents, first of all, due to its special customer offers guaranteeing essential economy for family budget. The discount program provides the customers with significant discounts in each purchase: regular customer card allows to save 5 % of the price, catalogue goods will be sold on average 30 % cheaper, and seasonal discounts may reach 70 % .

Moreover, in spring 2012, "Lenta" plans to start "Social card" program, which already works in 21 cities in Russia. The program offers extra discounts from 3% to 8 % for socially significant goods for invalids, pensioners, mothers of large families and the needy. With allowance for regular customer cards, the prices for social goods can be 12% lower.

As well as in the other towns, over 18000 consumer goods will be sold in "Lenta" in Tver: fresh vegetables and fruits, dairy products, meat, fish, grocery, goods for home and interior, clothes, footwear, audio and video devices.

"Lenta" cooperates with the local manufacturers and suppliers in every region. The share of local manufacturers' products represented in Tver hypermarket will amount to 15%. For example, in Tver "Lenta" it will be possible to purchase products manufactured by "Volga Pekar", "Veresk", "Nikitin" and other companies. Goods from local manufacturers are always easily recognizable in the trade hall – they are marked with special price tags.

The opening of Tver hypermarket provided employment for over 300 local residents, who receive good wages and significant opportunities for professional growth.

Tver became the 22-nd city in Russia where "Lenta" chain hypermarkets operate. The general area of all stores in the network has reached over 450 000 sq.m. by the end of 2011.
