OREANDA-NEWS.  January 12, 2012. Throughput of Commercial Port of Vladivostok (CPV) in 2011 fell 7.8 percent year-over-year to 6,381,900 tons, including 3,115,000 tons of dry bulk, liquid bulk cargo, timber and other general cargoes, the company said. The port’s terminals daily throughput was on average 17,563 tons of cargo.

CPV’s container trade rose by 27% year-on-year to 432,620 TEUs, including 162,393 TEUs of exported containers, 156,733 TEUs of imported boxes and 112,936 TEUs of short sea traffic. Vladivostok Container Terminal (VCT) transshipped 297,956 TEUs, other terminals handled 134,142 TEUs.

In 2011, 299 container trains were loaded at VCT, versus 158 trains a year ago.
The port handled 85,284 imported vehicles and equipment (+12.5%) and 84,000 tons of exported grain (+37%).

Commercial Seaport of Vladivostok, member of FESCO Transport Group, owns and operates its assets at the port of Vladivostok, one of the largest Russian seaports in the Far East. Port of Vladivostok encompasses 55 ha, over 14 km of waterfront with 17 berths, including terminals for handling grain, containers, imported cars and a passenger terminal. In 2010, CPV’s cargo throughput rose year-over-year by 11% to 6.9 million tons.
