OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2012. Neil Withers will become the new Head of IR at PSB, reported the press-centre of PSB.

Prior to joining PSB, Neil Withers was silkroutefinancial group’s vice-chairman corporate broking and business development for Russia and emerging Europe, since 2010.

In September 2008, Neil Withers joined VTB Bank as Senior Vice President, Debt Issuance and Investor Relations.

Since 2000, Neil had been Advisor to the Chairman of Vozrozhdenie Bank, focused on Investor Relations and Strategy Development. In 2006 Vozrozhdenie became the first Russian bank to issue equity on international capital markets.

Neil began his career in Russia in 1997 as leader of the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) team participating in the “Financial Institutions Development Program” for Russia sponsored by the World Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. CIBC was ‘twinned’ with Vozrozhdenie Bank in which it became a minority shareholder after the 1998 financial crisis. He had spent 10 years with CIBC in Canada prior to coming to Russia.

Previously, Neil Withers held positions of banking research analyst for Richardson Greenshields, the Canadian Investment Dealer, and Head of International Financial Strategy for the Royal Bank of Canada.
