OREANDA-NEWS.  January 13, 2012. Coal shipments from Port Vysotsky terminal in 2011 grew by 39% year-on-year to 3,201,750 tons, the stevedore company said.

In December, Port Vysotsky handled 263,345.1 tons of export coal. 

Port Vysotsky LLC operating the coal terminal specializes in handling the commodity exported to Western Europe. In 2010, Port Vysotsky exported 2.3 million tons of coal versus 2.9 million a year earlier. Last December, the stevedore company completed dredging of harbor waters and approach channel, which were deepened to 12.7 meters. The channel has now 200 m in width. Maximum draft of vessels was increased from 9.3 m to 11.9 m. This enables access of 45,000DWT bulkers to the coal terminal.
