OREANDA-NEWS.  January 17, 2012.  "Azot" boosted the annual growth rate on the main products output. The plant manufactured the record-breaking quantity of ammonia, urea, ammonium nitrate and other products.

In 2010 more than 1 000 000 tons of ammonia (which was used not only as a key feedstock for the other  production processes taking place in "Azot", but as a final product as well) were manufactured for the first time in the plant history.

In 2011 the plant produced 1 000 000 tons by the 12th of December already. As a result it produced 60 000 tons more than in 2010. All in all the plant produced 1 071 800 tons of ammonia. That was the best result achieved in the history of the plant which already exists for more than 50 years.

The annual figures in mineral group products output were boosted. Almost 575 000 tons of urea and 880 000 tons of ammonium nitrate (which are widely used in agriculture and mining industry) were produced as a result of well-coordinated work of the professionals working for the plant.

2011 was also a successful year for caprolactam production (the biggest production unit of the plant). More than 111 000 tons of caprolactam produced in Kemerovo were transported to the export markets whereas in 2010 its production was less than 100 000 tons.

In 2012 the plant is working efficiently as well. During the New Year holidays the workshops of "Azot" were working in a stable way according to the production schedule.
