OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2012. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov charged to deal with the procurement of antiretroviral drugs at inflated prices immediately.

PM gave corresponding orders during a meeting with Executive Director of the Global Fund to fight HIV-AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Michel Kazatchkine in response to his information, that last years Ukraine had purchased such drugs in three times more expensive than other country.

"This is unacceptable, because availability of antiretroviral drugs for our citizens is reducing in three times. This is a very sensitive situation for us. When we have lack of funds, purchase drugs at inflated prices - a wholly-owned corruption - Mykola Azarov said. - So we will investigate this situation and draw the perpetrators to justice".
