OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2012. Primorie Regional Arbitration Court pronounced legitimacy and reasonableness of the determination of the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Primorie Region (Primorie OFAS Russia) to fine “Vladivostok International Airport” OJSC 1,122,686 Rubles, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The penalty was enforced under Article 14.31 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations. “Vladivostok International Airport” OJSC violated the law by exerting monopolistic actions – unilaterally terminating services of providing aviation security (protection) of the area, facilities and aircrafts of “Vladivostok Avia” OJSC on the grounds of “Ozernie Klyuchi” helicopter site, located within Vladivostok airport (Knevichi).

“Vladivostok International Airport” OJSC disagreed with Primorie OFAS Russia and asked Primorie Regional Arbitration Court to invalidate the determination of the antimonopoly body. Having heard the arguments of the parties, the Court dismissed the claim.

“It’s not a secret that after changing the airport leadership, “Vladivostok Avia” OJSC and “Vladivostok International Airport” OJSC are constantly in rivalry. When it takes place through administrative and judicial disputes, it is normal. But when, instead of approaching Courts of law, “Vladivostok International Airport” OJSC removes security of aircrafts, as a result of which anything could have happened, it is obviously unacceptable”, commented the situation Deputy Head of Primorie OFAS Russia, Dmitry Abrosimov.
