OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2012. Blagoveshchensk Branch of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has concluded the first 10 contracts on compulsory civil liability insurance of hazardous facilities owners for infliction of harm resulting from hazardous facility accidents in accordance with the Federal Law No. 225 dated 27.07.2010, which entered into force on January 1, 2012.

The contracts were concluded with a gold mining company Berezitovyi Rudnik LLC located in the Amur oblast. Under the terms of the contracts 10 facilities were insured: open cast mine, storage of explosive materials, explosive materials loading area, frame crane platform, gold recovery workshop, tailing dump, transportation section, exploration section, storage of raw materials, and section for transportation of hazardous materials. The total sum insured under the concluded contracts amounted to 140 million rubles.

Ingosstrakh Insurance Company received the License for this type of activity on December 15, 2011 in accordance with the decision of The Federal Financial Markets Service. 13 years of insurance of Ingosstrakh Insurance Company experience of insuring civil liability of companies, exploiting hazardous industrial facilities under the current legislation, and its membership in the National Union of Liability Insurers served as a ground for issuing this kind of license. Ingosstrakh Insurance Company has actively participated in the preparation of all laws and regulations, organized training seminars on the basic provisions of the new law for its customers in many regions.

Berezitovyi Rudnik LLC is the young upswing company that has been producing lode gold in open-pit mining in Tyndin region since 2007. In 2010, it produced 2.1 tons, and within the period from January to November 2011 – 3 tons of the precious metal. Berezitovyi Rudnik LLC provides about 1,000 working places and is a part of Nordgold international group of gold mining companies, which includes eight operating mines and a number of exploration projects in Russia, Kazakhstan, Burkina Faso, and Guinea.
