This year Turkmen entrepreneurs are going to launch a number of projects in the framework of the State Programme to support small and medium enterprises and the programme to develop Ahal and Balkan Velayats recently approved at the decision of the President of Turkmenistan.

Several dozens of business plans that have proved to be effective provides for the construction of greenhouses, livestock and poultry farms, plants producing meat and milk, vegetables and fruits, brick-making plants, etc. 53 projects ate to be implemented in Ahal Velayat, and 34 projects – in Balkan Velayat.

Turkmen entrepreneurs are to implement such scale-scale projects as a shopping mall in Ashgabat and a hotel in Avaza seaside resort. The draft designs of interior and exterior of the shopping mall, hotel and cottages were presented during a meeting of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Ashgabat.

During the forum that had brought together over 200 businessmen from all over the country it was noted that substantial state support had made it possible to continuously enhance the role of entrepreneurs in developing the national economy. The number of jobs in the private sector has increased by 25,000, and Turkmen construction companies and firms have built many apartment houses and social facilities through the country since the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was established and the legal reform was launched.
