OREANDA-NEWS. January 24, 2012. At the end of 2011, Ukrainian PrivatBank remains the largest non-Russian bank of CIS. Before the New Year holidays, BusinessNewEurope financial magazine had published the annual rankings of TOP-200 banks on post-Soviet space. As the issue notes, Ukrainian PrivatBank occupies the first line in the ranking of Eurasian banks after the leading Russian financial institutions for the seventh year in a row.

The TOP-10 is traditionally occupied by Russian banks with the major Russian state-owned banks - Sberbank, VTB and Gazprombank - in the first lines. The leader of Ukrainian market PrivatBank - with assets of USD17.678 billion – is on the 11th position leaving other banks from all countries of the CIS far behind. Apart from Russian banks, the rating includes 33 Ukrainian, 16 Kazakh, 7 Belarusian, 2 Georgian and 5 Azerbaijanian banks.

PrivatBank is the largest Ukrainian bank and the leader of retail banking market. Today Bank’s network includes 3’357 branches and outlets, 7’507 ATMs, 3’872 self-service terminals and 54’486 POS-terminals. As of November 1st 2011 PrivatBank attracted UAH56.4 billion of citizens’ deposits. Retail loan portfolio of the bank amounts UAH24.5 billion. International banking group "PrivatBank" serves over 22 million of corporate customers and individuals in 12 countries including Russia, Georgia, Latvia, Italy, Portugal, China, Great Britain, Cyprus, Germany, Spain and Kazakhstan.
