OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2012. Irkutskenergo draws up the results of the year. According to the preliminary data for the 12 months of 2011, power plants of OAO Irkustkenergo produced 59.3 kWh, that is 3.5% less than the previous year.

At the same time, production at hydro power plants amounted to 46.5 billion kWh (decrease of 5.0% year on year), production at thermal power plants amounted to 12.8 billion kWh (increase of 2.3% year on year). Production of the heat power amounted to 23.5 million Gcal, which is 8.8% less than last year. Estimated coal production for the 12 months of 2011 amounted to 15.8 million tons, that is 8.4% more year on year (14.6 million tons). According to Evgeniy Fyodorov, General Director of OAO Irkutskenergo, considering economic indicators, “The year can be described as a success” and lower production rates are connected with low water content, mild winter and closure of primary production at a major consumer of heat power – Usoliekhimprom.

In 2012, the company plans to maintain the investment program at the level of the two previous years (about 5 billion rubles). Among the new developments are such projects as: installation of R-60 turbines at Novoirkutskaya TPP, replacement of the turbine rotors of Bratsk units (their production is to start in 2012). In addition, the company has several projects associated with the expansion of Irkutskenergo beyond the region.
