Zhlobin-based Belarusian Metallurgical Plant (BMZ) has been converted into an open joint stock company (OJSC) to comply with an ordinance issued by the State Property Management Committee of Belarus dated December 30, 2011, aide to BMZ director general, Sergey Korniyenkov, told reporters.

State company Belarusian Metallurgical Plant was launched in 1984. BMZ exports about 85% of its output. Non-CIS countries account for more than 70% of the BMZ’s exports.
