OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2012. Belarus’ OJSC Minsk Sparkling Wines Plant reported a 4% increase in production of sparkling wines in January-December 2011 to 1.333 million decaliters, a source in the administration of the company told reporters.

Still grape wine production reached 99,800 decaliters, down 34.9% on the year.

Stock of finished products amounted to 13.2% of the average monthly output on January 1, 2012.

The company is set to produce 1.34 million decalitre of sparkling wines and around 120,000 decalitre of still grape wines in 2012.

Minsk Sparkling Wines Plant was established in 1978; it makes 80 varieties of beverages; annual output is estimated at 12 million bottles.

In value terms, Minsk Sparkling Wines Plant’s output rose 8% to Br108.509 billion (USD 12.826 million).
