OREANDA-NEWS. January 30, 2012. In January-December 2011 Avlita Stevedoring Company paid a record amount of taxes and levies to the national and local budgets - UAH 118.5m, a UAH 68.8m increase on the same period last year.

Over 12 months of 2011 the company paid UAH87.1m in taxes to the state budget. The company paid UAH12.76m to the local budget, a 9% increase compared to January-December 2010. These funds are used to ensure social and economic development of Sevastopol and secure social benefits. Payments to social funds including the Pension Fund increased by UAH1.24m to UAH18.67m year on year.

Local taxes and social contributions of the company increased as a result of annual increase of 5.3% in the payroll fund. Average salary in 2011 grew by UAH696 or 13.7% to UAH5,765 compared with the year before.

The company is the major tax payer in the city with the local tax share exceeding 14%. Increase in taxes paid to the local budget and social funds is first of all the result of growth in transshipment volumes and thus of higher payroll fund. We have ensured that our employees receive a good salary, which is almost twice as high as the average salary in the city," noted acting CEO of Avlita Stevedoring Company, Sergey Posokhov.
