OREANDA-NEWS.  January 31, 2012. The business community and independent experts discussed the Government’s 100-Day Program at the meeting under the chairmanship of Vice Prime Minister for Economy and Investment Djomart Otorbayev, reported the press-centre of IBC.
 
Mr. Otorbayev noted that the Government was planning to fulfill a number of ambitious tasks within one hundred days. In particular, the Program provides for the reduction of government spending, introduction of a two-level budget, radical reform of the Financial Police, procurement through e-tendering, ban on inspection of businesses, reduction in the number of inspecting bodies from twelve to two, etc.
 
The Government is also planning to unite the Patrol Guard Service and Head Department of Road Traffic Safety into the Single Patrol Guard Service. In addition, it is planned to create investment fund for mortgage funding, microcrediting, leasing and other kind of programs within the first quarter of the new year.
 
According to the Press Service of the Government, new Government has a political will to implement reforms in the mining sector and grant preferences to small and medium businesses importing new equipment to increase production, Mr.Otorbayev said.
 
After the presentation of the program was made, meeting participants actively discussed the proposed program of the Government. Business community and civil society representatives suggested concretizing actions aimed at creating jobs, reforming the agriculture, implementing the administrative and territorial reforms, protecting private property and business, reducing sales tax, etc. Moreover, they said it was necessary to include some measures to reduce pressure on businesses.
 
In conclusion, Mr. Otorbayev called on the business community to get actively involved in drafting government programs and projects.
