OREANDA-NEWS. February 06, 2012. Ukraine and Georgia have established the final quota of permits for International automotive carriage in 2012. Thus, Ukrainian and Georgian automobile carriers will receive four thousand permits for cargo transportation. This decision was taken following the meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Georgian commission on international road transport, which was held in Tbilisi.

Ukrainian delegation was headed by the Director of Department of Road Transport of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine Dmitry Petukhov, Georgia – the Director of Land Transport Agency of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Mikheil Khmaladze.

According to Dmitry Petukhov, between Ukraine and Georgia in 2011 it has been increased turnover of goods and services compared to the year 2010. In turn, Mikheil Khmaladze noted that Ukraine for Georgia is among dozens of partner countries with which most actively there are carried out foreign trade in goods and services.

As a whole, Ukrainian and Georgian parties were satisfied with amount of quota permits for cargo automobile transportations for 2012, obtained during a previous exchange.

The same level of quotas previously established in 2013 too - if before an exchange of permissions later this year it will not be made other arrangements. The period of validity of permits provided for 2012, is automatically prolonged until 31 January 2013.
