OREANDA-NEWS. February 06, 2012. Ukraine is interested in increasing the supply of electricity to Moldova. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this during his meeting with Prime Minister of Moldova Vlad Filat.
"We are interested in increasing volumes of supplies of Ukrainian electricity to Moldova", - Mykola Azarov said.

He stressed the need to complete the work to enable simultaneous integration of the Ukrainian and Moldovan power systems in the European union.

According to the PM it will create additional opportunities to increase supplies of Ukrainian electricity to Moldova and then transit to the EU. The Head of Government said that it would benefit both countries.

Moreover, Mykola Azarov suggested the Ukrainian side to participate in construction in Odessa terminal for receiving liquefied natural gas. At the same time he proposed to entrust the energy agencies of our countries at the expert level to consider implementing relevant projects.
