OREANDA-NEWS.  February 08, 2012. The subsidiary of KAMAZ in Bashkortostan – JSC "Neftekamsk Automobile Plant" – won a tender for delivery of 20 passenger city buses to Kirov.

It should be recalled that Kirov had already received 47 NEFAZ buses which showed their advantages during operation. The new batch will be delivered at the end of February. The NEFAZ-5299-10-32 buses will be painted red and equipped with electronic navigators, according to the customer’s requirements. One of the buses will be an experimental model equipped with wheelchair lifting equipment.

NEFAZ-5299-10-32 low entry buses with 25 seats are designed for transportation of passengers (up to 116 people) along city routes. These buses can accommodate such a large number of passengers thanks to free areas at its entrance doors. This high quality will enable the customers from Kirov to quickly repay the cost of the buses and get assured profitability from city passenger conveyance. All buses are equipped with Cummins 6ISBe 270B engines complying with Euro 3 environmental standards and reliable ZF 6S 1200BO mechanical gearboxes, as well as with a Wabco ABS braking system. Besides, in order to avoid injury-risk situations, the floor of the bus is made of Avtolin antislip material for passengers’ better safety. Buses can develop a speed of 70 km/h in a city’s traffic.
