OREANDA-NEWS. February 8, 2012. President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov gave several orders to the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, which are directed at developing economy of the country.

Uzbek President said that the Cabinet of Ministers should develop a programme, which envisages decreasing of prime cost by 10-15%, in a month term.

He said that it is necessary to review processing of agriculture products at local enterprises and determine existing reserves, and adopted a resolution on speeding up development of processing industry, as well as providing additional preferences. He said that the special attention should be paid for development of industrial cooperation and localization.

Uzbek leader said that additional preferences should be provided to exporters and production of high liquid products for external markets and provide them additional preferences.

He said that additional decision of the government should be appointed to hold export fairs of local industries, which produce competitive goods, and attract enterprises to international fairs.

President said that the government should pay special attention to development of service sector, as this will require minimum investments and positively impact to economic growth, increase of employment and population income.

He said that the government should develop a programme on development of service sector for 2012-2016, which envisage increasing share of services in GDP to 54-56%.
