OREANDA-NEWS. February 9, 2012. The Brazilian automotive industry produced 221,800 vehicles in January, down 11.4% from the same period in 2011. This figure is broken down into 207,300 light vehicles, 3,400 trucks and 1,100 buses.

The exports, for their turn, totaled 33,100 units, up 6.9% from January 2011 figures. In January, 268,300 units were registered, a 9.6% rise from equivalent period in 2011, with imported vehicles answering for around 25% of registrations.
