OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2012. Recently, related authority made an all-around check to steel industry and selected most important events in 2011 in worldwide steel industry and domestic steel industry. Some highlights of TISCO are list in the 2011 Events, reported the press-centre of TISCO.

The World Metals, an authority magazine in industry, publishes an article named Ten Technical News in 2011 Worldwide Steel Industry on the occasion of the new year. TISCOs sinter flue active carbon desulfuration & denitration technology and third generation automobile steel production technology co-developed by TISCO and China Research Institute of Steel are listed in the ten technical news.

TISCOs sinter flue desulfuration acid-making system applys the most up-to-date active carbon absorption technology, which combines sinter flue desulfuration, denitration, dedioxin, de-heavy metal and dedust functions; it is the first project of China to apply active carbon technology in sinter flue treatment. After putting into operation of the system, TISCOs environmental indexes have been greatly improved. The third generation automobile steel successfully developed and trial-produced jointly by China Research Institute of Steel and TISCO meets the concept of lighter, safer and oil saver. At present, this steel is in tryout in 3 parts in First Automobile Works, China. It is forecasted that by 2014, this steel will be put into batch production.

Meanwhile, the Ten Events in 2011 Chinese Stainless Steel Industry proposed by Stainless Steel Council of China Sepcial Steel Enterprises Association also takes several TISCO activities into its list, i.e. TISCO independently developed high grade Ni-based alloy oil well pipe, extrused W-shape steel, high grade non-magnetic drilling machine steel, the new stainless steel cold rolled brightening line project, 2250mm hot rolling line bell type furnace revamping project, LF project, Chinas first sinter flue active carbon desulfuration, denitration and acid-making project, and worldwide first project of smelting ferroCr and ferroNi hot metel in shaft furnace.
