OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2012. Ural Airlines passengers will be able to carry ice hockey gear on the air carrier’s flights free of charge. The airline’s Regulations on standards for transportation of checked-in allowed and excess baggage have recently been amended accordingly.

Athletes travelling along with their gear will now be able to carry – free of charge – ice hockey gear consisting of one article of baggage with kit and one article of baggage with two sticks, total weight not to exceed 30 kg

In addition to that, Ural Airlines passengers are entitled to carry – free of charge – one set of skiing equipment which will not be taken into account for excess baggage payment rate calculation.  A set of skiing equipment on the air carrier’ flights will be regarded as one article of baggage (bag) with 1 pair of skis and 1 pair of poles + one article of baggage with 1 pair of boots, or one article of baggage (bag) with 1 snowboard + one article of baggage with 1 pair of boots.
