OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2012. Rosbank has taken the fourth place among the Russian banks included in the rating of the most expensive banking and financial brands. The rating has been prepared by the international consulting company Brand Finance in association with The Banker magazine. The calculations are based on the current banks financial results and forecast indicators for the nearest five years, brand geographic coverage, its market share and stability (customers’ attitude to the brand).

The Brand Finance Banking 500 rating has being conducted since 2006. According to analysts, Rosbank’s brand showed the highest growth for the year among the Russian banks. The Brand Finance has changed Rosbank’s rating from “BBB” to “A”. Rosbank’s brand has taken the 294th place in the list by going up 79 points and increasing its value by 12 mln USD - to 258 mln USD.

According to Rosbank’s director on corporate communications and advertising Pavel Nefedov, the rating’s result is highly determined by the changes that occurred in the bank in 2011: “Rosbank started rebranding process in April 2011 which became a symbol of positive changes, such as: consolidation of the Russian assets of Societe Generale Group on the basis of Rosbank, transition of the joint bank to the new system of customer service aimed at building long-term relationships. The team of experts from France and Russia has been working on creation of the joint bank’s brand. Based on the results of our surveys, we have decided to keep the name “Rosbank” that has a high level of awareness and trust among the population and complete it by the corporate symbolic of the Group - a red and black square with a white stripe. The local names of the banks are kept by the Group in its other operating countries as well. The formed brand reflects the new Rosbank’s positioning most and corresponds to customer expectations”.
