OREANDA-NEWS. February 14, 2012. Industrial production of Bukhara region grew by 7.1% in 2011, while consumer goods output rose by 8.7%, the session of the MPs of local Council said.

UzA reported that the agriculture output of the region increased by 7.1%, construction works – 25.6%, retail trade turnover – 18% and paid services to population –10.2%.

Within the programme on development of industrial potential, the region attracted 20.7 billion soums and US.5 million. The region started production of 21 types of new products. Six enterprises produced goods for 35.7 billion soums within the localization programme. Total volume of loans, issued to real sector of economy, increased by 17.8%.

In the result of the adopted measures, directed at employment of population, the region created 74,000 new jobs, of which 81% fell to share of rural areas.
