OREANDA-NEWS. February 14, 2012. Belarus plans to supply around 200,000 tonnes of sugar to Russia in 2012, Ivan Danchenko, general director of Belarusian state-owned food producer Belgospischeprom, said at a news conference Friday.

Russia is expected to buy sugar from Belarus at U.S. USD 600–USD 650 per tonne in 2012, compared to USD 950 per tonnes earlier, Danchenko said.

Belarus plans to export a total of at least 400,000 tonnes of sugar in 2012, he said, adding that the product is also to be supplied to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, and countries of the Caucasus area, besides Russia.
