OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2012. In 2011 Omsk Refinery increased its production output by over 5% as compared to the results of 2010, reaching 19.95 mln. tons. The processing depth in 2011 totaled 84.05% which is one of the best results in the industry.

Production of motor gasoline by Omsk Refinery in 2011 jumped by over 14%, totaling 4.1 mln. tons. The share of high-octane gasoline totaled 86%, also surpassing 2010 figures. The overall production of diesel fuel grew to 6.1 mln. tons, which is 1.4% more than in 2010.

In 2011 the overall production of marine fuels by Omsk Refinery increased by over 55% to make 1.63 mln. tons; production of oil bitumen rose by 12%, totaling 466 thousand tons. In addition, last year Omsk Refinery became the first of the Siberian refineries to launch production of polymeric-bituminous binders with upgraded properties as regards heat, frost and wear resistance, as well as road bitumen emulsions of all types.

In spring 2011 Omsk Refinery started production of class 4 gasoline; in summer it mastered production of Super Euro-98 gasoline which meets eco-class 5. Omsk Refinery has also continued implementation of the process facilities modernization program with the aim to improve ecological properties of motor fuels. In particular the oil deeper refining and gasoline alkylation system KT-1/1 has been upgraded to boost the quality of the current products and increase the capacity of the system.

The equipment upgrade has resulted in introduction of the deparaffination process at diesel fuel hydrofining plant L-24/7, facilitating production of winter diesel fuel from the summer fuel. This process will make it possible for the refinery to increase winter diesel fuel production by over 32 thousand tons per month during periods of growth in seasonal demand.

Omsk Refinery has also implemented a number of projects to increase the level of industrial and ecological safety of the enterprise, including an upgrade of the nitrogen-oxygen plant, construction of a new tank farm for dark-oil products, a tank farm for crude used in the production of bitumens and coke, a tank farm for liquefied hydrocarbon gases, a sulfuric acid tank farm and alkali tank farm, and reconstruction of the waste water system at the treatment units. In addition to this, the technology for producing catalytic cracking bi-ceolite catalysts, important components in production of high-octane gasolines of eco-classes 4 and 5, has been launched on complex G-43-6. Today Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery is the only manufacturer of catalytic cracking catalysts in Russia.

In 2011 the products of Omsk Refinery once again won in the “100 best goods of Russia” contest. Premium Euro-95 car gasoline, high-refine oil paraxylene and orthoxylene were awarded laureate diplomas. Catalytic gas oil, jet fuel TS-1 and Regular Euro-92 car unleaded gasoline were bestowed accolades in the “Industrial Products” nomination.
