OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2012. Belarus’ affiliates of Heineken group of companies – Heineken Breweries, in the Mogilev Region, and Rechitsapivo, in the Gomel Region have been the largest suppliers of beer on the domestic market in January 2012, Belarus’ food concern Belgospischeprom said in a statement.

Belarus-based Heineken breweries increased beer sales by 28% on the year in January 2012 to 782,600 dal. Heineken Belarus’ beer exports shrank 43.8% to 11,700 dal.

Belarus-based Heineken breweries registered a 27.6% increase in output in January 2012 from the 2011 level to 874,400 decaliters.

Production in plastic bottles reached 754,500 decaliters, up 38.7% on the year in January 2012, in glass bottles 110,300 decaliters, down 16.6%, and in kegs 9,600 decaliters, up 7.4%.

Heineken-controlled companies account for 26.2% of Belarus’ overall beer production.
