“The government support of the agribusiness sector in 2012 will stay unchanged at Br11.4 trillion (USD 1.352 billion): USD 178 per hectare, same as last year,” Kotkovets said.

Part of the funds will go to compensate loan interest payments (Br5.5 trillion), the vice minister informed.

At the same time, Belarus stays true to its commitment to reduce government support of the agricultural sector to 10% - one of the conditions for joining the Single Economic Community.
