OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2012. Enterprises subordinate to the Agriculture Ministry of the country increased export of farm products 12% on the year in 2011 to USD 2.479 billion, an official in the ministry told reporters.

The rise in exports was owing to the increase in prices and higher volume of supplies.

Dairy products accounted for 58.6% of all exports, meat and meat products 30.4%, casein 3.4%, and eggs 1.5%.

Exports to Russia reached USD 2.209 billion, up 10%, to other CIS countries were at USD 156.8 million, up 40%, to foreign non-CIS states USD 113.2 million, up 20.7%, including USD 91.3 million worth of exports to the EU, up 10.4%.
