OREANDA-NEWS.  February 20, 2012. In 2012, ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. (JSC Atomredmetzoloto) increased the number of projects implemented within the framework of its corporate social responsibility program, which focuses on creating a favorable social environment in all regions where the company operates, as well as on maintaining cooperation with local communities.

In early February 2012, auditions for the ARTnova project were held in Krasnokamensk (The Zabaikalye Territory), the location of JSC PIMCU, the main Russian enterprise of ARMZ Uranium Holding Co. The project is being carried out in cooperation with the Faculty of Arts at Lomonosov Moscow State University and Jacobi House Foundation for the Support of Art and Science Programs. The goal of the project is to give gifted children an opportunity to perform on stage alongside professional artists.

The auditions were attended by more than 350 participants who prepared some 150 performances. After the auditions, a panel of judges will select the best participants who will stage performances in the following categories: Classics, Modern, Folk, and Duet. The young performers, supervised by experienced teachers, will perform alongside graduates of the Faculty of Arts at a gala concert on May 15. After the concert, the judges will select the winners, who will be awarded the main prize: a tour to a Creative Camp in Greece.

ARTline-2012, an art contest for young people, has also been announced. The participants will prepare art projects in the following categories: Still Life, Landscape, or Portrait, and send them to the organizers. The winners, who will be announced in late May, will be awarded prizes by JSC Atomredmetzoloto. Schoolchildren from Dalmatovsky District of Kurgan Region, where another ARMZ Uranium Holding enterprise, JSC Dalur, is located, will also take part in the event. The Faculty of Arts of Lomonosov Moscow State University will act as a partner for this project as well.

At the same time, in 2012, ARMZ Uranium Holding will organize the second ECOLINE Youth Educational Ecological Forum. In addition to a number of education events in Krasnokamensk, Chita, and Uksyanskoe (Kurgan Region), the Forum will include ECOArt, an environmentally-themed photography competition, the Under the SOS Sign Youth Social Video Contest, and My Green Planet, a poster competition dedicated to environmental protection.
