OREANDA-NEWS.  February 22, 2012. The Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BBVB) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) have signed an agreement on BBVB connection to banking system Temenos T24.

The Exchange reports that the decision will allow BBVB:

- make online payments;
- receive information about cash flows at the BBVB accounts;

- carry out direct export of payments in CBA system T24;
- control more efficiently the process of execution of payment orders;
- speed up the process of settlements following trading sessions;
- improve security of the process of settlements.

"Thus, the financial market of Azerbaijan has taken another step in its development. BBVB expects growth of liquidity in the exchange segment of foreign exchange and money markets," it was reported.
