OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2012. The Foundry, a part of the Metallurgical Complex of KAMAZ, plans to produce more than 150 t of casts in 2012, according to its director Leonid Luzgin.

He noted that the enterprise planned to sell products for almost RUB 12 billion for a year: it will produce casts for KAMAZ plants to the sum of more than RUB 9 billion, and other products for almost RUB 3 billion.

It is planned that the foundry will increase labor productivity by 16% in comparison with last year due to organizational and technical measures.

“To add to this, our task for the nearest future is still the same: to master the production and localize Cummins products,” noted Leonid Luzgin. “First of all, these are cylinder blocks, cylinder heads and flywheels.” The director said that 6 innovation projects had been realized in 2011, the majority of them were aimed at modernization of production and improvement of labour conditions. He mentioned the project on installation and start-up of an absorptive biochemical unit which enables to reduce the amount of ammonia, phenol and formaldehyde in the emissions of the enterprise.
