OREANDA-NEWS. March 07, 2012. This year it should be doubled the level of mortgage construction. The corresponding task Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has set a meeting on the implementation of state program "Affordable Housing".

"Our goal this year - at least to double the amount of mortgage construction", - the Prime Minister stated.

He said that in 2011 the volume of construction in Ukraine have increased significantly. In particular, in Kyiv put record amounts of housing: more than 1.5 million square meters, it exceeded record of 1987 year, when it was put in order 1.4 million square meters.

However, there were recorded lower rates of construction some areas. The Prime Minister instructed the Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services Anatoly Blyznyuk find out the reasons for this situation and correct it.

According to Mykola Azarov, developers return the credibility of people. "We have to explain to people: do not court into offers of speculator that offer extremely favorable conditions, but does not guarantee completion of construction. There are serious organizations that supported by the state. Invest your funds into these organizations and the Government together with such organizations, local authorities ensure completion" - Mykola Azarov said.

He suggested demining "accredited" construction companies in all regional centers. The Prime Minister considers that it is necessary to establish as soon as possible insurance of investment contracts in construction.

Mykola Azarov noted that the construction of affordable housing is a priority for the Government. He assured that embodied in the state budget for the program "Accessible housing" funding will be provided in full. "The increase in construction is a priority for our area. Our main task - to provide significant growth in this area, put into operation as more as possible of affordable housing and create conditions for people to buy it" - the Prime Minister noted.

In turn, participants of the meeting proposed to introduce incentives of employers to participate in building housing for their workers. And also to introduce rating of cities and construction companies, which will increase investment in construction.
