TISCO Products Show Brilliant Success in Gas Transmission Project
OREANDA-NEWS. March 12, 2012. The first round of bidding held by PetroChina Company Limited for X80 high grade pipeline steel for Line III (Huorguosi – Chang Ji) of the west-east natural gas transmission project was started. The total bidding weight is 300,000 ton. Among eight qualified tenderers, TISCO ranks first in terms of comprehensive qualification and wins 50% of the total bidding amount, reported the press-centre of TISCO.
The “west-east natural gas transmission project” is one of the key investments of national “twelfth-five” strategy. It is a symbollic construction project concerning the national economy and people’s livelihood. This natural gas pipe project is with longest distance, biggest pipe diameter, most investment, most transmission quantity, and most complicated construction condition. Therefore, PetroChina requires strictly to the hot rolled pipeline plate, including plate shape, surface quality and etc.. Since December of 2007, when TISCO signed the strategy cooperation agreement with PetroChina, TISCO has stressed the upgrade of the steel for petroleum and petrifaction, established the development teams which combines “marketing, R&D, and producing”, including pipeline steel SBU (Strategic Business Unit), low temperature storage bin steel SBU, stainless steel SBU and etc.. By flow control and benchmark with other channels, TISCO has successfully developed the X80, X100, and X120 series super high grade hot rolled pipeline steel plate, 9%Ni-steel, oil tank steel 12MnNiVR and etc.. The success of many products not only fill the gap in China’s market, but also offer the complete and one-station service for the state petroleum and petrifaction.
In recent years, TISCO has supplied over 800,000 tons of high grade pipeline steel for some big pipeline projects, such as west-east natural gas transmission project, Zhongwei-Guiyang natural gas pipeline project, and Sino-Myanmar pipeline project. With the increasing level up of product quality, the further strengthening of R&D capability, the boost of yield rate of the product, TISCO’s products have gained widely praise by many clients, such as Baoji Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., North China Petroleum Steel Pipe Co., Ltd., Shandong Sheng Li Steel Pipe Co., Ltd.. In the evaluation, TISCO win the first by its good product quality, complete quality control system, and impressive reference list. That means TISCO has got a 150,000 tons contract quantity.
This bidding is the first round for west-east natural gas transmission line III project. From now on, the project will start the biddings for more steel pipe. TISCO will join PetroChina in the great project to forge an energy ligament, which offers clean and efficient energy supply to China’s economy and social sustainable development.
