OREANDA-NEWS. March 12, 2012. Renaissance Credit, a leading Russian consumer finance bank, announced that its information security management system (ISMS) has been certified against ISO/IEC 27001:2005. The certification confirms that the confidential data of the bank's customers is highly secure.

ISO/IEC 27001:2005 specifies the requirements for identification, introduction, management, monitoring, assessment, support and continuous improvement of documented ISMSs. In undergoing the certification process, Renaissance Credit has assumed responsibility for the ongoing refinement of the ISMS in line with the best global practices.

“Renaissance Credit has confirmed for the fourth time in the past three years the quality of its in-house information security management system,” said Zhanna Schennikova, Senior Vice-President, IT, Operations and Customer Service Director of Renaissance Credit. “This year, certification covers not only charge-card-related business processes, but also customer service. This is the first time an ISMS has been implemented and certified also at regional locations – Kursk, Penza and Podolsk.”

Specialists from Russian Register-Business Excellence (RR-BE LLC), a member of the Russian Register Certification Association corporate group, conducted the audit.
