OREANDA-NEWS. March 13, 2012. The specialists from Sosnovoborelektromontazh, OJSC, the key electric installation business unit of TITAN-2 Holding has started assembling of  RTS-1600  current limiting reactors  while constructing the substation of auxiliary facilities of power units No. 3 and 4 of Leningrad NPP  (SAF-34). First of all, the substation is intended to provide internal power supply for the auxiliary facilities of Leningrad NPP. Besides that, SAF-34 will provide additional power for the construction site of Leningrad NPP-2.

In the course of work, the installation of two power cells of SAF-34 was completed: 6kV switch gears with 2 thousand ampere-SF 6 circuit-breakers with current transformer sets; also the automated  fuel delivery control  system was installed. 8 km of 6 kV cabling from building 601 of Leningrad NPP to the substation and from SAF-34 to LNPP construction site was laid.

Currently, there is a 6 MW-power supply line at the site, but in future this power will not be enough for the growing construction site. LNPP-2 is supposed to get additional 9MW of power after SAF-34 commissioning. This power can be used for construction site BOP, including the following: power supply of cranes and other construction mechanisms, concrete heating in winter, construction site lighting, as well as power supply to the temporary construction camps, canteen and for other purposes.

TITAN-2 holding is a construction customer for the substation construction. Several leading organizations of the holding have been attracted to perform these works: Sosnovoborelektromontazh, JSC, Installation and Construction Directorate No. 90, LLC TITANSTROYSERVIS.
