OREANDA-NEWS. March 13, 2012. Over the 12 months of the year 2011 the operations of the Open joint-stock Siberian Energy Coal Company (JSC  SUEK) produced 92.2 mln tonnes of coal. Compared to the same period of the previous year the production grew by 3%.

Sales volume in 2011 went down 2% against the same period of the previous year, amounting to 88.9 mln tonnes of coal. As many as 55.2 mln tonnes of coal were sold, which is down 10% compared to last year, with 40.9 mln tonnes from the above amount shipped to electric power-generating facilities.

The international market coal sales went up 16% and amounted to 33.7 mln tonnes of coal; the Company's own coal exports grew 17% and amounted to 30.0 mln tonnes of coal. The major international consumer markets are South Korea, UK, China, Japan, Morocco, Taiwan, Poland, Finland and Germany.

EBITDA in 2011 amounted to 49.4 bln roubles, up 74% compared to last year.
