OREANDA-NEWS. March 15, 2012. The Government of Uzbekistan adopted measures on ordering realization of coal to population and budget organizations of Karakalpakstan Republic, Bukhara and Khorezm regions.

The measures were adopted in order to ensure supply of fuel-energy resources to consumers in Karakalpakstan Republic, Bukhara and Khorezm regions.

According to the resolution, Uzbekugol will create territorial distribution centers with 12 branches by 1 July 2012. The centers will supply coal to population and budget organization in these three regions.

In line with the document, Uzbekugol will allocate 2.1 billion soums of own resources and attract loan of the People’s Bank at the size of 7.4 billion soums to create these centers.

The loan is issued for three years with one year grace period under interest rate of 16% APR, the document added.

Komir Kon Qurilish of Uzbekugol is a general contractor on construction and equipment of the territorial distribution centers.

The Government entrusted the State Demonopolization Committee to carry out control and monitoring over the volume and prices of coal, realized through these centers.
