OREANDA-NEWS. March 19, 2012. Belarus-based CJSC Avgust-Bel, affiliated with Russian CJSC Avgust, which produces crop protection agents, is set to boost its annual production capacity to USD 200 million within the next five years, Avgust-Bel’s management told Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko.

President Lukashenko paid a visit to the Belarusian enterprise on Friday.

In the meantime, by 2016 Russia’s CJSC Avgust is set to boost combined output of crop protection agents in Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan to over USD 600 million.

Now that Russia’s Avgust set up an affiliated company in Belarus, the price of crop protection agents has stabilized on the Belarusian market, which enabled the country to save some USD 11 million in 2011 alone.
